Ebay Stuff?

Hey...uh, i dont know where this goes, but it has something to do with turbos. I was planning to buy this item off ebay when i get the money. The only problem i had thinking was if Ebay was a reliable source to buy it from and if this item has everything thing. Its the whole "big 16g turbo kit" the price for it seemed like a bargain. just want to see what you guys think of it.

check it out:

(i dont see a external wastegate that comes with it though. just wondering if i have to buy that too.)

That turbo setup comes with an internal wastegate.

Yeah, don't even attempt it. The exhaust manifold will fall apart and that isn't a real Mitsu turbo, it is a knock off.

Yep, listen to everyone above. There was a big post on this on tuners. In a nut shell, you aren't getting what they say you are getting. Don't let the fancy title decieve you.

yeap, i bought one of their t3/t4 turbos to put on my delsol. i was only planning to run 5 psi so i figured it would hold together for that. i never even got to boost on it before that bitch fell apart now its just a really expensive smoke machine. the manifold is ok but i have heard of them cracking, the runners are not as large as they should be and the material thickness isn't the greatest. the only thing that i would consider buying if i was going to actually try to boost on a car would maby be a blow off valve or wastegate.

I've also seen pics of the turbo actually breaking in half because the way they make the turbos.. They make them in halves and weld them together.

You are giving them to much credit they don't even weld them, they glue them together. :(

I'll look for that webpage which was all about how crappy ssautochrome is. The only reason they have such good feedback is because people leave it before they accually install their crap.

V8Killa, Chris Carey, here on 'Style had one of those shitty manifolds. The waste gate mount would break off and then the turbo collector broke completely apart, he had to hose clamp/rig his turbo in place. He even persuaded a local shop to try and reinforce it but it couldn't be helped.

And when people do get a chance to leave bad feedback, SSAutochrome calls them names in their response.
