Making a 1G logger cable?
I'm wondering where can I get that plug that plugs into the OBD I port. Maybe what wires go where wouldnt hurt, I'm pretty sure I can find instructions on how to make it, I just have no idea where to get that plug... any ideas?

Re: Making a 1G logger cable?
Is this what you want? They have already made cables and just the connectors themselves for $5 if you want to really start from scratch.
http://multiplex-engineering.com/products.htm To save time, maybe just get this below. It's for 1gens. For $25+9, might be worth it just for the sake of not having to dink with rounding up parts and stuff. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW |

Even cheaper. I know you can find the software on the net for free download. I believe it's called tunerstein.

Re: Making a 1G logger cable?
They are easy to make and john on here used to make them. You don't need the OBD connector. Most cables people make just have wires going to pins and you just put the pin in the right holes on the connector. I think the 1g only needs 3 or 4 of the pins.

Re: Making a 1G logger cable?
I went ahead and bought the cable, for that price, seems decent.

Re: Making a 1G logger cable?
Great. Glad i could help. I seem to try and make/do things for myself alot of times too but in some situations it's just best to buy stuff already made. $34 is cheap for a 1g cable. 2g cables are over $100 like my old pocketlogger cable.
