Good mood tonight. Finally enjoy tuning my car.
Well i've got probably a little less than 2000 miles on my car since getting it all back together. I've been fighting a knock that i just couldn't seem to chase. I tried about 3 different gas stations and still had no luck. Anyway to the chase. I used to race modded snowmobiles and i had some old Phillips B33 laying around. I believe it's 116 or 119 octane(can't remember). My boost by the 4th run was turned up to 18.5psi which is pretty light for that turbo and octane but i was just seeing if my problems would go away. I had basically no knock at all. Just a couple .4 degree phantoms. I was so happy that this was my problem all along.. lack of octane or good gas period. I was still pretty rich for that octane at 11.3:1. I ended up running a 4.41 0-60 time which i thought was pretty good for 18.5psi. NLTS needs a little work on my part too. I finally have the urge to go forth with this car at the track. Dsmlink gave me this time plus i had the gtech out. Amazing how the 2 were basically within a tenth of each other. My goal is a 4.0 or sub 4.0 with the boost cranked up.
What's your experience? On a 50trim turbo, Magnus, 272's, etc..etc.. what would a 4.40 0-60mph yield me at the track? A best guess of course. Thanks to all those who have helped me throughout. |

I have no idea about th 0-60, but on a similar setup I ran a 12.02 on 20 psi and pump gas.

Thanks JET- That gives me alot of hope for the track. Especially that you did that on pump. Nice! My goal all along was 12.0 - 12.5, but it would be dam nice to touch a 11.99et. I'm assuming on straight 116 octane, that turbo should be able to handle 26-27psi just fine, hah? I do have ARP's by the way.
