Hey guys I have a 1990 Plymouth Laser and the door handle on the passenger side broke off. It was just the handle the top of the handle that holds it in the door is still in there. I have a replacement but I have know idea how to fix it. Any suggestions would be helpful. :toast:

That happened 2 me last summer, my g/f's lil nephew pulled the top of the handle right off :headache: just pull ur door panel off inside (window up) and mess around with it, not extremely dificult....just pay attention to how the lock works otherwise it wont work again...not hard though, just pull it apart, u'll figure it out. unless 1st gens are a lot harder for some reason

No, it is not that hard to do. Remove teh screws on the outside of the pannel, pop the panel fasteners off, unclip the electrical connector on the back side, remove the rods from the handle, unbolt the door handle, pull it out, remove the clip that holds the lock on it, and put everything back together using the new handle.
BTW, this should be in basic tech. |
I am actually on my third door handle on the driver side. :jammin:

Damn, I am still on my first (in the year and a half I have owned the car). I just have to keep taking the door panels off to fix the damn sticky windows.
