Any interest?
Mike and I have been talking about making some modified trigger plates for the DSM cam angle sensors.Just seeing if it would be worth the effort. They should be fairly cheap, and easy to install. If you take the cover off the CAS, there is only a single phillips screw holding it on.
Heres what the modifications would be: 1- Mechanically inverting the TDC marks. For 6 bolt swaps, all the timing marks would be in the proper positions, which would mean no swapping plug wires, injector wires, etc. This would not solve the random misfire problem though, which is a result of play in the timing belt, not the marks. 2- Advanced/retarded crank angle marks. So you can change base timing on vehicles with a non-adjustable CAS. |
Re: Any interest?
This would be a very clean, easy, extremely cost effective way of doing the 6 bolt conversion without hacking the wiring harness up. Much quicker to perform as well.

cleaner/better way that costs... opposed to free....
what is the cost? i will most likely end up doing it the cleaner/better way... once i'm ready and recuporated |
Re: Any interest?
Sounds like an awesome idea, roughly how much are you thinking? $6k? $7k? that should be about right ;)
