Drop the wrench version 1.2

Just had to mention this because, well I like having a laugh at other peoples expense :D

Ask Josh (90laserRST) where gear lube goes in the tranny. A little hint for josh, not in the bellhousing hahahaha.

VFAQ is your friend!

People learn from their mistakes. I'm sure he's not going to make this mistake again. Let it be.

Couldn't agree more.

In his defense, he very openly admits his nOOb status. I think he has learned a lot in his short DSM experience. I was pretty much just giving him shit because it was funny. I have seen much worse things done by people with way more claimed experience so don't give him too much crap. He pretty much took over for Tom as the local whipping boy hahaha. Tom is still the ultimate whipping boy, but josh will do for a local.

Re: Drop the wrench version 1.2

Yea I put SOME gear lube in the belhousing because I saw a hole and figured it would work. And just for your fucking INFORMATION the clutch works fine ;) At least from 0-10 lol. Im afraid to drive it. Im having other engagent issues from the linkage.

And no i wont be dropping the wrench, im just getting started. And even if I do have to replace the clutch, I wont mind too much being this taught me a lot. And for the record, I do NOT talk like my car is fast. You hear me saying things like " my peice of shit" " I dont wanna drive my car there" Etc. and this wasnt my car, it was a FWD.

You guys can bash all you want, but the majority of you are as noobish as me. At least I have the balls to try some shit on my own. And Also, I dont have interent where I was working and no one would answer my calls at 1am.

Hey peter, Does your car drive yet?

Hey jake, Why did TCF disconnect your phone?

Mike, How your legs feeling? haha

Cher, thanks for the defense of my noobish self

Chris, Nice honduh.

Man you guys seriously made me feel bad for Josh. I mean come on everyone makes mistakes. No matter how skilled or experienced a person is, and doing is learning. I applaud your boldness, hope it all works out.

Re: Drop the wrench version 1.2

Josh does have guts, he isn't afraid to try stuff, that is a very good trait to have. Don't drop the wrench, but don't pick it up without a little more info in some cases ;) And my legs are doing better, Chris is right, getting old sucks. Although I don't think my arthritus is directly related to being my age (almost 37) I think it has more to do with the CF thing. Another one of those stupid associated things I keep ending up with. But if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger and in that case I am getting stronger by the second so watch it punks :) Now if I could only remember where i put my 14mm socket.

Re: Drop the wrench version 1.2

I didn't even get bashed that time! I sorta feel left out, but that's ok. I was just joking. I have done some stupid things before..like, lowering a car on the lift, but almost forgetting to secure one of the wheels (I caught it). I am glad that you atleast have the courage to get your hands dirty. There is a guy at work (korey know's him) and he wears gloves FOR EVERYTHING. He was re-wiring a phone jack today..and he wore our surgon's gloves..damn pansy..
