My Hp Goal?
 

What is your horse power goals?
I ask because the old 300 to 400 hp seven years ago, is now more like 500 to 600 hp. I think if I could throw a lot of money at my car now, my goal would be 700 hp, I know how to get the power but only can afford around 400 hp now. What is to come in eight or so years 1200 hp 2.0L & 2.4L daily drivers? sounds good to me. But what do you want?

despite how 300 horsepower really does seem like nothing these days my goals is just to get to the limits of my 16g which should put me just over 300 maybe someday i'll get a new turbo but I wouldn't ever really want over 400 i just don't see a lot of point.

Goal right now is to get it driving again. Then Ill worry about if power is made. I just want to get into the 12s which you would think is easy but... well see. So anything above 280hp would be nice :)

I figure with a good tranny, tires, and suspension, 275 awhp is about what I am shooting for in the Talon if I keep it. But that's on the t 2 small.

It has been gone over before, but my goals are 580-600 whp. We should find out in the middle of June or so, depending on how many customer cars kick mine out of the shop :D

Real long long term goal if this car is a keeper. 700-800 rwhp. If not, then 700+ whp DSM it'll be.

I'm hoping for 530-550whp on my set up 35psi. But my car is turning into a Road Racing machine so. for the most part it'll just be pump gas. which I'm hoping for 410whp 22psi, 92 oct.

Something over 500... 600 on race gas would be nice.

550 on C16, 450 on pump. Possibly 500 on another idea I've got.

I am hoping for at leats 650whp. I know nobody belives I will get there but I don't care.

I'm hoping for atleast 400 whp. If I get there I'll most likely want more and more and more, haha. I want my car to feel like my uncle's GTO, torque and power.....and speed also!

My horsepower goals??? What ever will get me that 11.99 time slip. Whether it's 390hp or 450+hp, whatever it takes. IMO- I find it more appropriate to determine my track goal and then build an engine setup based on that goal -- In that order, otherwise to build a car just to have dyno bragging rights is a waste of money. Reliability is another factor for me.

My goal is easy. To be faster than anyone sitting beside me at that point. The only thing I don't want to eventually destroy is a rail and that is of course If I am not driving one as well. At some point over the next couple years, I want to build a mitsu powered rail just to see what it would do. Maybe 6G74 or 4G64, either way, it would be fun. The point of goals in my book is to always be pushing for a higher level, when you get there, you still are not done so trying to quantify exactly how fast I want to be is a bit impossible. I have a lot to do, better get started working on my stuff one of these days. If is never the question, it is always just when.

I've been thinking that for 2 years.

I guess my power goal isn't as important as what I want to accomplish at the track... I just want a 130mph trap speed. Although, getting kicked out of Rock Falls for going too fast (based on speed, not time) without a cage and whatnot would be fun. :)
