Re: The new Xbox 360 specs........

Re: The new Xbox 360 specs........
they'll try for xmas season of 05.
i'd buy it :-D but will it have built in wireless, or just wireless ready. I've seen crap advertised as WiFi ready, but that just means it can handle the expansion. |

the core is part of a processor. it won't have 3 of them. The xbox has a 733 p3 so a 3ghz is a HUGE jump. I'd expect to see a dual system at the most. |
Re: The new Xbox 360 specs........
I'll stick to my NES, Sega, and Gamecube. lol
But it looks pretty sweet. |

And also, with the triple 3.2 ghz "cores" its still gonna have to cost way too much for me. Have they released a price? I havent seen one... |

The first Xbox they released they lost money on the deck but made money on licensing the GAMES! That's where the action is for every $300.00 deck they'll sell at zero profit, they will also sell 20 $50.00 games. Beyond the initial development what does cost to burn a DVD? A quarter? Almost pure profit baby! Then come those $50.00 a pop for wireless controllers, light gun, steering wheel, need I go on? I predict the deck will come retailing for about ~$300.00 again as another "loss leader"! |

Re: The new Xbox 360 specs........
I glad there are at least 2 big players fighting it out for our $!
This way WE, the consumer win in the end. Competition is what makes everything better! |
Re: The new Xbox 360 specs........
Yeah, 3ghz out of a gaming system is insane but something that is even more unbelievable is the number of pipelines.
The current HIGH END video cards for a computer are using a 16 pipeline unit. With XBox claiming a 48 pipeline unit, thats over double as fast as any video card on the market today. With ATi now supporting XBox, due to problems with Nvidia, we could see 2x R520 chips in the Xbox which is going to be the NEXT gen ATi card. As it says at the bottom, all specs can change, and I definitely see a few of them changing. |
