Konichiwa!
3 Attachment(s)
OK well I'll jump on the intro bandwagon too. My name is Brandon. I have been living on the 60x15 mile island of Okinawa Japan for almost a year now. I will be back home living in my dads Hellz Angelz pad in Brooklyn Park in a couple weeks after 5 faithful years of service in the Marine Corps. I'm getting out as a Sergeant with an Honorable Discharge. I'll be able to grow a beard for the first time in 5 years, that's exciting to me!! Look for me to be one of the few 23 year olds cruising around Minnesota with Veteran Plates on my car!! I drive a 91 Talon. It's got very minor upgrades. When I had it I dedicated myself to fixing every qwirk in it before slapping any big mods on it. I gotta few boxes of crap that will be put on the car once I'm home. My goal is to see 400hp on race gas. Maybe a smaller goal then most, but that's fine with me! OK that's all, here's a couple pics.
#1 pic of my talon 1 year ago at the little mall in Maple Grove kinda by Ultimate Electronics #2 pic some of you might remember this one. It's the pic I use to get all the bishes!! #3 pic was taken as I flew over the beautiful tropical SE asian Island I've been living on. I will be very sad to leave here and will really miss it. It's been a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I will never forget what a beautiful culture the Japanese have. |

Re: Konichiwa!
Dude bring home j-spec engines for everyone. And lots of other sweet aftermarket parts that are practicly free over there. Oh yeah and when customs EXTENSIVElY searches you for trying to bring all kinds of japanese goods into the states...its not my fault ;)

Re: Konichiwa!
I'll take some Amuse parts, anything'll do.

Re: Konichiwa!
If I had a dollar for everytime someone PMed or IMed or Emailed me asking for something JDM, I'd be able to pay cash for an EVO. Practically free?? Are you serious? The cost of living in Japan is comparible to like L.A. It's expensive over here. Hardly anything is cheap or free. I'm also on a tiny island, so there aren't any huge performance shops, or huge junk yards where I can go just pick up some R34 tail lights or Silvia red top engines. But as far as clothes, those are freaking cheap! They have all these middle east sales guys that come here and sell clothes for hardly nothing just to make a penny. Got me 2 suits made out of Armani chasmeire. I pick up Mitchell & Ness, and Reebok official jerseys for about 1/10 the price you'd pay in the states. So if anyone wants one, two, or if you're like me EIGHT, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Re: Konichiwa!
Also might I mention that at times I am outspoken and I love to argue and instigate about things just for fun and because I'm bored outta my mind. I do not intentionally look for beef, so if I do in fact offend anyone please do not take it that personal and feel free to AIM me because getting an IM is usually the highlight of my day. If I do inflict anger in you and you dispise me, well then not much I can do about that. I'm really not that evil, I'm just bored and have tons of free time. It's not like I gotta Walmart or Best Buy here that I can just go to and waste time at. So I just lurk around on the web and read about cool stuff and download porn.

Hey man, Thanks for Serving!
Serious Respects! Howie |
Re: Konichiwa!
No problem! It was fun. You'd think it'd be impossible to be happy over in the middle east. But when you are there with your best friends, and you are all miserable together, you end up having a great time despite the insane temperatures and conditions. I don't regret doing it at all. I just feel I can take what I've learned and apply it and start a new chapter of my life outside the military.
