Hello, my name is Jacob Bolson. I lived in Decorah, IA for the first 18 years of my life till I moved to Ames in August of 2002 to start school at Iowa State. This summer I will be moving to the Davenport area for an internship and then return back to Ames in August when fall semester commences. I am 2.5 years into pursuing my Agricultural Engineering degree with a power & machinery emphasis.

After wanting a DSM for years and buying miscellaneous parts without even owning a car, I purchased my '92 Laser 6/4, 5 spd, AWD last summer for $900. It needs quite a bit of work but runs well enough for my mom and brother to drive it on a regular basis since I've at school. My primary vehicle is a '99 Dakota, ext. cab, 4WD, 5.2 V8 which I do not have any pictures of at this time.

That picture actually makes the car look quite a bit better than it really is. The driver's side door, fender, and rear quarter panel are pretty messed up. I have a different door for it which I'm hoping to get swapped on this week. The 1-2 synchro is basically gone and from everything I've read, it has leaky valve stem seals because the car smokes at start up and when idling.
As for the S-10, last fall I decided I wanted to sell it but my mom absolutely loved the truck. I've always liked her '99 Dakota so instead of selling the S-10, we basically swapped vehicles: she got the S-10 and I got the Dakota.
