Stupid me for forgetting my car, I drive A 91 mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Well with an imaginary car make and model it is kinda hard to tell.

The steering boot in the firewall works well on DSM's. For running a 4-gauge wire you'll probably need to drill a new hole though.

If this is a DSM, there are a shitload of places to drill through the firewall, both on the driver side and passenger side.BTW Don't be a stupid fuck and run the wire through bare metal either, use a grommet.

Won't the shifter cable grommet work as well?

Maybe but you cant really see it because its behind the console.. ts easier just to go right by the steering and master cylinder area because you can see it and have access to drill if the need be.

i ran all my wires through the hole, right below the brake resevoir tank. Remove the 2 bolts holding it in place, and move it to the side..you'll have more room. Plus, it enters right above the driver's brake/gas pedal..
