Rock Falls May 7th
 

Hey, me, my brother and a couple of cousins and friends might be going. Who's all going in dsmstyles.com? My brother says he'll be happy hitting 16s with his 96 Honda Accord EX... :confused: ...lol. Well, just wondering who's all going. I heard it was pretty boring watching most of the cars hit 16s at the track last time, but this year might be the first year i'm going, so i'll just have to see. :)

I'll most likely be there whether I am racing or not but who knows. I got a new turbo and injectors now so I have to get it on the dyno and tuned this week so its possible that I'll be ready to go next weekend. If not I'll be at the Fun Day for sure. That is always better cause you get to see some nice ass cars run 10s and 9s all day long. Along with some that run 12s and 13s too. Last weekend (23rd) was awesome. Everyone got about 15-20 time trials in because there were no neons or cavaliers there! :D Plus there were only about 50-75 cars racing. Even saw a few sleds and a top fuel dragster was there.

I might go. Depends on if my cousin's want to go or not. I'll just sit and watch (if I feel like wasting all that gas to get there and see nothing great). So the chances of me going are slim. I'm waiting until a bunch of the DSMers from here go on the Fun Days.

I highly doubt there was a top fuel dragster (or nitro car) at rockfalls, that track is entirely to small for those speeds.
Probably an alcohol or methanol rail...

There could've been a dragster there. All you'll have to do is open the parachute up at the 1/8 mile mark and you're good...haha. :D

Never said it ran... just said it was there... They wouldnt let him run but he was there. The guy that owns it threw a big fit cause they wouldnt let him go even though he paid for it.

Oh...I thought he ran. I'd be pissed of if I couldnt run after I already paid....did he get a refund?

I believe you guys are referring to a guy that lives pretty close to me. It's not a top fueler. It's an alky car. I think he was just there to get it tech inspected. It's his first race car ever. I can't remember what he's running for horsepower. I think he said around 1,200+. My brother knows more about it. He's more friends to him than i am.

You will never see a top fuel dragster run at Rock. There simply isn't the room and the track sucks compared to NHRA tracks. It's rare to even see a Pro Stock car once in a great while there. Many people confuse a rail car for a dragster. Most of those are 8.90 indexed cars. Everyone in that class dials in at 8.90. To me, that's the most worthless class ever created. They put-put so to say to about 60' and then car takes off hard from there. Not a real crowd please without the hard launch.

so everyone who is going is going at what time on saturday, i might be interested in going just becasue my car will be done in 2 days by shindley and i kinda want to see what this 50 trim can do for me.

No, I had to work. Then I have to work this weekend also on the Fun Day. Then I'm sure I'll have to work the weekend after that on the Test and Tune Day...Fun, Fun! :( I'll probably go on the 4th of June...anyone planning on going that day? Forgot if it was SC Day of Fun Day....

Edit* It's a Sport Compact Day...darn, that'll have to do I guess...

Well I had planned on going but my cell phone (alarm clock) fell off my tool box some how and the battery came off of it. I was sleeping in my garage because I had been working to get the car done before saturday morning and didnt want to drive home. I ended up waking up at about noon next to my car thinking WTF time is it and why did I get so much sleep. lol :D

I plan on making it this Saturday (Fun Day) though, as long as I can get a little dyno time before that.
