thoughts on the 1.8t gti?
 

it's getting harder and harder to finds a good 2g awd platform for the right money so i'm look'n at a few other ideas. i have seen some gti's pretty modded just curious what anyones thoughts on them. mainly 01-03' gti 1.8t. seems like
they're a little more money to mod, but also sumthin different?

Decent car with "some" potential. Definately not as easy to mod as a DSM, but they are alright. Cars handle decent and feel solid, but they are a little heavy and of course the FWD problem. Not bad if you want a decent DD, but it isn't going to be all that fast without some serious $$$. Another thing to look at is the TDI. I was toying with that, diesels are awesome! Crank the boost to the moon!!

how heavy are they? are the diffs anything special, like limited or just stock?
