Recirc BOV's

Who has what preferance and why.

Greddy Type S, TurboXS type 34, HKS w/adapters etc.

I will be running one and want to get some opinions.

Running aprox 20 psi and will be re-circulating it back in.

And yes I know a properly crushed one will hold that much and a bit more.

Go with the Type-s.

Yep, another vote for the Type S, especially if you are recirculating and not going to crank the boost up high.

You know, I see plenty of people who say the Type-s will not hold high boost. But when I was checking for boost leaks at 40 psi, my Type-s didn't leak at all. So I took the pressure down to 35 psi and started backing off the spring adjustment to see if it would start to leak. I backed the adjustment out all the way and it never leaked.

Maybe they have made changes in the spring pressure recently? Also, the smaller valve in it will not bleed off the pressure as fast at high boost. This is a problem with the HKS as well. That is why the high HP guys almost always go with a TiAL BOV.

I could see where flow might be an issue. Good thing I have NLTS. ;)

The only time I have seen the Type-S leak is when people have let the original stud/set nut fall out and then tried to stick some other bolt in the hold instead. This mod is found on about 50% of turbo Honda's with Type-S BOVs.
