Time to move on.

Well, I hope you are all really happy with yourselves. No one stepped up locally, and I had to sell a nice, clean, well put-together 1g to some numbnutz in Iowa. No offense to any other Iowegians, as I know several, but this guy made you all look like complete morons. The guy bought my pride and joy for his 16-year-old kid to beat to death, and while he boasted all of this tuning and drag-racing knowledge and experience, he very quickly demonstrated that he was clueless.

If anyone wants stories or examples, I'll tell them in person, but I'll just leave you with a few points:
-he immediatly locked the keys in the car.
-I had to explain how to operate a manual boost controller (in detail)
-he supposedly has a n/a drag hyabusa with 850cc injectors on it that he's tuned & puts down all of 230whp When I talked to him about tuning with an afc, he stared at me blankly and said, "maybe I just won't touch that..."

Grrr....Well, at least it will be far from my sight when blows it up. :(

Anyways, why would I sell a nice, clean 1g? My pride and joy?

A few weeks ago I was tempted by the devil, and ended up selling my soul. That's right, I bought a 2G. It's clean, it's black, and it's sexy. Since I bought it about 4 weeks ago, it has had the utmost attention of me and my wallet. Between LightningGSX and myself, there's probably 15 hours of re-wiring into this car (WHY do people insist on using those FUCKING BLUE CLIPPY THINGS!?). I basically decided to go nuts with this thing. The weekend after I bought it (i.e. 5 days) I installed buschur's fmic kit. The car is at QPR right now for a timing-redo, balance shaft delete, and a new clutch. I've also got a PLX wideband that will be here this week. I wish I could say that's everything, but it's really just the beginning of my new project.

anyways, that's a quick update from my neck of the city :)

it was a guy named Ed from Cedar Rapids. Not sure what his kid's name was, though.
