Not that it matters, but from my experiance Fidanza cam gears arent the best quality. (same as Crane, but not the held to the highest standards)

Re: Fidanza Cam Gears on line sale

I believe Fidanza is what Vassil had on his car and one of them cracked. I'm sure Jacek, Jed, or Vassil could correct me of I'm wrong though.

Realistically, couldn't a guy make his own cam gears? If you look through the Martin Gear website they produce about anything and can make about anything so if an adjustable cam gear was a must, I'd personally check into making my own. Plus I think it would be fun but that's another story...

Why try to reinvent what is already out there? There are like 10 manufacturers of cam gears, pick one!

I have a set of Fidanza's going on. There are a lot of people running them with no problem. There will always be problems with products, you just have to look at how many units are out there and how many problems you hear of.

I realize there are a plentiful amout of cam gears already available however I still think it would be fun to come up with my own set. Granted I love working on ProE so that always makes a difference too. :D

I've had mine on for a while now, no problems. Of course I've only put on 700 miles in that time. I got mine for about that price as well.

Re: Fidanza Cam Gears on line sale

I had a set of Crane 2.4s for my NA motor, and sold them, i didnt want to risk a $3000 head + one off pistons for a cheap set of gears.

But I suppose, its different... turbo motors are usally non interference.. sept the valves hitting each other i suppose.

Re: Fidanza Cam Gears on line sale

DSM motors are interference.
