1g pausing
 

have a non turbo AUTO 1g laser. when i put it in drive it waits about 3 seconds then it like Jumps into gear and pretty much makes my whole car jump. i had a rebuilt tranny about 1 and a half years ago. any ideas on what i can do. also when it down shifts it is jerky and feels like it is like hopping

Check the transmission fluid level, and make sure it doesn't smell burnt and isn't dark in color. It should be clear and red or pink.
