BIR rumors
 

There are some rumors going around that BIR will be closed this year. There is a tentative schedule right now, but nothing permanent.

Also, the AMA Superbike series dropped BIR and said that they dropped them because they are going to be closed all year pending sale of the track. I am not sure how much of that I believe.

According to the NHRA they are still having the Nationals there. There also seems to be much more club racing on the schedule this year at BIR. The NHRA was the only big name event that I saw. It may be a good year to get some time it at BIR!!

Yeah, it's been floating around on a few sites that BIR is gonna be closed up and some one it sounds real, but I am not sure.

NO SUPERBIKE WEEKEND?!?!?!!??!?! AAAAAHHHHH! I am now going to admit myself to the hospital to be treated for shock.

last thing i heard is it sold. Supposedly the people whom bought it are racers and are going to keep it operational as a track..

I can find out some more about this at the next LOL board meeting. We are pushing to get some LOL events out there this year whether they are sanctioned by SCCA or not. As far as I know, it is still going for this year.
