I am looking at some rims and I am wondering if 245 tread width is too wide for a 2g. I need to know ASAP
thanks |
i have 235's, so a extra 10 wouldn't hurt i guess, but i think its to big for your plans. Just say no to drugs.
Also tell your idiot brother to turn his phone on DAMN! |
He just left to call you after seeing your post in the street. I am looking at some 18" chrome wheels and don't care about weight or anything else. Just looks and function.
|
hey you want rims buy mine on the car...
Ill give you a half decent price for them dude Also i got leather seats for you if the money is right. Niches' 17's 5 spoke. |
Here are the oh snap wheels he is looking at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2444344290 obviosuly doesn't care about performance. He should have saved more money and bought an ESi. |
BTW, I lost my phone earlier. Found it on the jeep floor.

those bling bling rims on a DSM = bad. The weight factor alone is a joke. Sure all cleaned up withthe right car chrome can be a good thing. But this is not a good thing. Someone start an intervention!

The only reason I was thinking about getting them is because they are chrome 18s in minnesota for a pretty cheap price. Chrome always looks nice on a black car. I wonder what they were on before. They have low profile z rated tires on them.
|
Chrome = oh snap. Those rims are nasty.
WTF? Typing the word G A Y changes to Oh snap... i hate that phrase... as I am not ghetto enough to use it. |
those are the ugliest fucking wheels i have ever seen, and if someone says oh snap one more time, im gonna fucking explode :fworld:
|
Well atleast those wheels are going on a 2g
|
245's on 18" bling-blong muthafukka reeeeeimmz are going to rub hardcore and cause all sorts of giznay. You still need to slightly roll 2G AWD fenders when trying to run 235's on an 18" wheel (at least my buddy had to). I don't care if they are going on an Escalade, they are still ugly as fuck. If you show up with those, I can guarantee someone will scratch the shit out of them.
|
I will sell you my Nitto 555's for cheap...225/40/ZR18
225 is the widest I would go with if you are going to lower the car at all, I had eibach pro kit springs and they were millimeters from rubbing as it was! Let me know if you want to see pics or are wondering ona price, very negotiable! Lifetime warranty at discount tire! Chris |
If use 245's you will most likely have to grind the upper control arm a little. Jet and I had to grind mine a little when I put my 18" Konig Caffeines on. They are 235/40/18 with Dunlop W10 Tires on them. And they are still really close to rubbing. You can always order the spacers for them though if they are too wide to grind. Or you can ghetto fab it and use washers around the lug bolts.
That is what you will most likely have to do though. 245's will rub like hell. Jets 1G didn't have to be ground down for his 235's to fit but it doesn't have the the upper control arm on it either so it fit ok. Fucking 2Gs and there wannabe cadillac suspensions parts.... :3gears: |
Hes not getting them.
