2g models
So does anybody know if there is an actual frame difference between the GS, RS, GST and GSX? Or are they all the same platform with different bolt-on drivetrains, options, etc?
I know the trunks are deeper in the FWDs.. btw you still interested in an eprom?
I'm thinking of just buying a 98-99 GS/RS and swapping my GSX drivetrain and suspension into it.If all I have to do is modify the trunk, I think thats what I'll do.
Anyone else have any insight into the differences? BTW I may still be interested in the Eprom ECU, PM your price |
as far as i read everywhere, the only thing that is different is the fuel tank, and rear suspension cross bracing, also you will just have to get one hole drilled for the fuel tank support. but then again you might as well go with a fuel cell.
The second thing you have to look for is that it has the 4g63 NT one..because i think the wiring harnesses and engine trany mounts are totaly different between the 420a and the 4g63 -E |
As long as I can unbolt stuff(Mounts, wiring, etc) from the GSX and bolt it on the NT, I'm not worried about it.
You would need to weld in different motor mounts.
OK, so some cutting/welding on the mounts and trunk, and I'm good to go?
BTW anybody from this site in Rochester? |
I dunno what Enes is thinking, all NT 2g's are 420a's. Get a spyder 2.4 and make it AWD. The wiring harness from the NT's won't work with a 4G63 (except the 2.4l).

tkrPerformance has done it with a 2.4 spyder, heck it was even an automatic to begin with! Go for it!
Yea I like the spyder idea!
I absolutely hate convertibles, so no spyder for me.I was just asking cause I can pick up the late model GS/RS for cheap, and swap the parts off the fucked up GSX if possible.
I think I live in Woodbury?
Sounds like a huge project that isn't worth the time or money.
For what its going to cost me, its well worth it.
