Just pistol or rifle too? The AR-15 needs the carbon blown out of it! I wouldn't mind sighting in the XP-100 a bit more too.

I'm personally bringing all rifles. Probably about 5 of em. The AR, some Mausers, and maybe the Mosin.

My AR-15 doesn't kick at all. The 12 guage does some, but only with 3" magnum slugs in it.

I use a recoil pad on my bolt actions. Makes it toerable even when shooting a hundred rounds or more.

You still get a bruise, but it's truly nothing compared to shooting without the recoil pads. You wont even notice it.

I hope your not bringing any steel cased or aluminum cased ammo as they will not let you shoot it at Bill's

I have not shot there in 2 years because of that fact.

Well I am not a current gun owner but Id like to get in on the action ;) CVD mind if I come and try one of yours out :) Never really shot anything but air pistols/rifles.

Yeah I am not too worried about it. I use a Remington 7mm Magnum to hunt deer with so I am used to it in a way. I just know you always get the achy arm the next day after shooting. My job involves lifting and moving of slot machines, and it would make it a litte uncomfratable. But I don't care I will still go if JET can get his ass up and go as well.

Sure Peter. I believe their website is billsgs.com. The fee is like $15 per person. You will want to bring or buy ear protection there. For me, I prefer earmuff and earplugs. My rifles are much louder than most handguns.



Brian, thanks for mentioning the steel case ammo thing. I know, but just in case anyone here hasnt been up there before.
I have enough non magnetic ammo to make a solid day of it. Got more than enough in 8mm and 5.56.
It makes me sad though that I cant shoot my Swiss rifle there on account of the bimetal ammo. The ammo I have is lead core with brass case, but the jacket is bi-metal. This wont hurt their backstop, but it fails the magnet test all the same. Unfortunately, unless you reload your own, it is the only available ammo out there.

What if a guy was interested in hanging out with some DSMstyle people that hes never met, but does not own a gun. Would it be possible to purchase some ammo and shoot your guns with you guys? I've had the urge to shoot because i haven't had a chance for about a year and a half.

That's cool. I'll be heading down to the cities Saturday night. I'm looking for something to do that night, we should meet up. i know that i'll be spending some time at QPR too. Anywho, you can just bring some money for the ammo and we'll figure it out. Also, we won't be at Bill's forever, we will go somewhere to chat and maybe eat. CVD has found that you can shoot better with a full belly.

Sounds good Brian. I was planning on going to the gun show on Saturday morning though. That might change though, we'll see.

And Reid, I plan on heading to QPR some time this weekend as well if they will be around. I've got a block at my house that I've got to load up and bring down there if you wouldnt mind helping ;)
