Oil Filters

I don't believe I've posted this up before but if I have, mods feel free to delete it. Anyways, here is an excellent article about oil filters: http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/corve...lterstudy.html

fram oil filters are crap, as shown in that site. i had one blow a hole the size of a dime on my 90 tsi. sprayed oil all over the engine. then a few months ago i got cheap and tried a fram tough guard on my 96 tsi. i crushed the damn thing putting it on. now i only use wix, k&n or pureone.

A Fram filter caused oil starvation on my friends track prepped F-Body. Spun a bearing because of it.

If you have your oil filter relocated, like I do and like the mitsu filters, I think the 95 NT filter will screw on.

Nothing wrong with the Mitsu filters designed for the turbo cars. The cases have gotten smaller in the recent redesign, but there is the same amount of filtering medium.
