How much is your cell phone bill each month?
Ok, i just got my cell phone bill today i and was just fucking irate when i opened it. I'm on like a $35.99/ mo. plan and every friggin month it's $50. I was on TDMA for years and then in July i resigned contract(Mistake #1), when i switched over to GSM(mistake #2). They were supposed to put text messaging because that is what i had on my old plan but they didn't so i was paying .10 minute for each txt message. They were supposed to credit me for it and still didn't yet and it's been about 3 weeks since I noticed i wasn't on a txt plan. Now the bill is still $50 again. I cancelled my landline phone at home so i'm stuck with the cellphone. By the way, it's CellularOne We're kinda stuck over here in bum fuck egypt wisconsin and only have 2 choices of carrier.
DON'T ever let them talk you into GSM technology. It's crap! It disconnects alot. I want my old TDMA back but they won't do it. Our choices are Nokia and Motorola too. Motorola sucks shit! My old Nokia phone was better and held a charge alot longer. I hardly use my Motorola and it dies in 1 to 2 days even if not used. I looked at what i signed and it did say that i was supposed to have txt messaging when i resigned again. I wonder if i can bitch my way out of the contract on behalf of their fuck up. Just pissed and wondering what you are all paying for your cell bills. |
Dont feel bad. I have AT&T and my bill is usually over $100 and I am on a $49.99 plan. I guess I talk too much. I use the damned thing for work and get no re-imbursement for it. I can't raise my plan because I will have to sign another contract. I just have to wait until this one ends before I can get something cheaper with more minutes.

I pay about $110 every month..
but that is with 3 phone lines.. -E |
Holy Shit! that's just too much, well in my opinion anyway. I'm on a 600 anytime minute plan. After 9pm and anytime on weekends, i can call anywhere in the U.S. for free. Kinda useless for me because i don't call anyplace outside Wisc. If i order parts, i order from my phone at work. I was texting this broad back and forth quite a bit but i was under the assumption i was under a txt plan. You guys probably get good coverage in the cities without drops with T-mobile, sprint, verizon, etc.. Cellone over here is lining their pockets and not putting up new towers to prevent the problems that pissed me off.
Just feel like bitching today. |
I do the T-Mobil pre-paid shat.
Usually about $50 every other month but I don't use it alot. |
oh my dont get me started on GSM.... i pity you. my father got this plan for our family and it SUCKS!!!!! they advertise this like its the best of the west. dad was all braggin bout how you could get service virtually ANYWEHRE. HAHAHAH what a joke, i get cut out when i go to SCHOOL!!! and thats in eden prairie. that and sometimes i dont get reception in my own home. ach. but other then that i think im on a 39 doller plan but i usually pay bout 60 in talkin to much or texting over my plan.

I have a 35 dollar sprint plan, with like 15 dollars for internet and 500 texts? or something and end up usually paying about 70-80 for it. I like sprint alot, good phones, sometimes the service sucks, but oh well.
|
I have a $35 + $5 plan with Sprint, and it comes out to be almost exactly $50 every month unless I use other services.

jdr_fatbob.... yeah isn't that the truth about GSM. They advertise the shit out of it and how great it is. They say that 1 bar of reception is equal to full reception on TDMA phones. That is a joke! Do not fall for it. I got it because i wanted to try internet. They had a free 2 month thing for internet. Another joke. Half the time you couldn't get onto the net "Network unavailable". The other half, you would get in so deep and you'd get "Service type not available" or something like that. So basically i resigned for a kick in the ass back. I'll never resign for more than a year. You get your new phone cheaper the more years you go but it's a kick in the ass in return.
Well after seeing what you pay, i shouldn't feel too bad. I still want to see less than $40 bills. Man i hate bills. Reminds me of that movie Office Space, where he said he was just gonna stop paying his bills. |
hahahahaha office space such a good movie. yea man idk i just started going off on AT&T and how crappy this GSM stuff is last night. i found out that am already 150 minutes over what im supposed to be? mmm not so good. but they have been real jerky with me sometimes scammed me once then i looked over my bill and AH HA slapped it right back at them. so i looked over my previous bill to see who i have been calling, half the numbers i dont recognize but then again i dont know all of my phone numbers i use.

My wife and I are on a plan together, it comes out to about $250 a month. Don't ask me why.
|
Usually about $45/month with Sprint.

I truly think that most cell phone companies charge us for shit we didn't even do. Heck, this summer our tower in town went out from a storm and my phone connected to another tower and put me in roam. Got the shaft on that one. Wish i lived in the cities with more options. I miss living there but i don't miss the traffic.

Are you guys kidding??? GSM RULES!
I've had T-Mobile for 4 years, since they were Aerial (Voicestream) OF COURSE I live in the city. GSM does suck for rural areas. TDMA and CDMA are a much safer choice for rural areas. It's just REALLY old technology. The quality of the calls, and amount of data you can transfer is far less than GSM. THUS every other country in the world other than the US and Mexico are on a GSM only network. Wait till they get GAIT phones. These phones allow you to use GSM AND TDMA at the same time. You can also get Analog transcievers to "add on" if any of you remember the OLD school voicestream phones "Nokia 5190". I always told people when I sold phones: look at what you do most with your phone, long distance, roaming, texting, talking, and base your plan on that because NO ONE has a cure all yet. Look into Midwest Wireless, ALLTEL, Cingular (Which just acquired AT&T, and will have WI coverage soon), or a few other spin offs. verizon may be a viable alternative, but I don't personally like CDMA... you'll drop calls like crazy, and most phones like to try to ROAM. GSM you really don't have Roaming. You're either on or off.... My 2 Cents. |
My sprint service is excellent anywhere but Eau Claire, where I live. go figure.
|
Been with AT&T since 2000, about $45 a month right now. Could be less but I'd rather not have to worry about going over my minutes.
|
50$ NEXTEL unlimited 2-way. can't beat it most of my friends have 2-way and work
|
$55 a month with sprint
Sprint RULES!!!! |
I pay $50/month for 1400 Anytime minutes, UNLTD N&W starting at 8, UNLTD Text, UNLTD Web, No Long Distance, Free Roaming nation wide and Southern Canada.
And my last two phones were free. |
I have cell ones new GSM up here in D-Town. Got on it right when they started it here. So 45/month gets me unlimited calling and long distance.
