Shipping a tranny

Has anyone on here had to ship a tranny before (to shep or other)? Who will ship such a item? I know that USPS has a 75lbs limit and I think UPS has the same. Anyone have an idea on how much shipping would be to Oregon?

FedEx. ~ $75-$100.

Yep, fedex was like $72. Just put it in a rubbermaid plastic tub and screw the top down.

I had my tranny shipped to me FedEx, it was in a heavy-duty cardboard box with plywood at the bottom. The cost for ground was $56 and only took 3 days to get to MN from CT. I do like the idea of a Rubbermaid tote better though.

UPS will ship also, that's how I got mine to TRE and back.

Ok, thanks. I like the rubber tote Idea.

Where are you sending it to? If you are getting it modded, TRE will supply an insured box that is padded and arrange pick up and delivery for you.
