New parts bitch

We finally got a vehicle to replace Joshes tempo of doom as the official QPR shop vehicle.

Anyone want to guess what it is? Pictures will be up tomorrow.

Allan's 1.8L Dakota? :D

Raptor 11-06-2004 07:27 PM

Better ;)

1ViciousGSX 11-06-2004 07:29 PM

Allan's 1.8L Dakota with a working tranny? :p

Raptor 11-06-2004 07:41 PM

hahaha better

Jana 11-06-2004 07:43 PM

Any car that runs would be better than the Tempo ;) j/k Josh :D

1ViciousGSX 11-06-2004 07:45 PM

The Talemino?

Raptor 11-06-2004 07:46 PM

That is 100% true, no kidding about it

Josh knows, he won't be offended. For a free car, the tempo has served pretty well, but it definately needed to retire to hauling just josh instead of all the engines, stainless etc.

Hey, I can just put up the pic from the add duh. So this is the tempo's replacement.

1ViciousGSX 11-06-2004 07:50 PM

ooooh,ooooooh,ooooooooooooooh. Turbo 2.4L please.

Raptor 11-06-2004 07:51 PM

When the g54b dies, a wideblock 2.4 is going in. Might as well have fun with the parts hauler.

1ViciousGSX 11-06-2004 07:52 PM

Now that's a Haulin Ass!!!

Just remove the drain plug and drive it so we can get to the modding!!!

AJ 11-06-2004 07:54 PM

Definatly sweet!

Raptor 11-06-2004 07:58 PM

It does run a little bit too well. Maybe over the winter I will scrounge up a motor for it. Then when the clutch goes, that sounds like a good excuse to do a little swapping. I don't know what the 4 wheel drive system in this thing is capable of handling so a little research is in order.

niterydr 11-06-2004 08:06 PM

Yeah it rocks.
And jana, the tempo does blow goat nuts, but it was free so whatever ;).

EclipseGST 11-06-2004 09:05 PM

nice... atleast it can haul a little more than the tempo and its not a ford! w00t

Honestly, she can handle many-a 50 shot. How is the rear end? which rear does it have? I have first dibs of the rear, ok?

Raptor 11-06-2004 09:22 PM

Nice try, the rear end is staying right where it is. It is in good shape. Do what I am doing for a rear end, fabricated 9"

I have been considering the Dana 60 so I don't have to say I have a Ford part on my Talon.

EclipseGST 11-06-2004 09:48 PM

haha... yea i'm not a fan of ford in any form! but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. a dana rear end is definately worth consideration but would it be more difficult to fab in there? if you end up with the ford and someone asks... just say, yea is a 9" rear end :D

Shotgun! 11-06-2004 11:33 PM

More power loss with the ford 9inch...right? Bad pinion angle? The dana is heavier though, right? Why not a 8.75" Mopar? Oh, that's right. I was thinking you were going with the 2.14 again, silly me. No really, the pistons in that G54B are spose to be really strong. I was just wondering which rear gear it has. I'm looking for the 4.11s or 4.22s. I still don't know which year has what and all...anywho. She can take a fifty shot no prob. You could always swap in the mani's from a quest and a 16G. Just need a SQ ECU and a FPR.
