Anyone interested in coming over for a "HALO 2" night at the house?

I'll be home alone all weekend. So I'm looking for something to do. And since Jim mentioned it in another thread. I thought it would be a good idea.

This Saturday When ever you guys want till when ever you want.

In the past typically we've gone from like 6pm till 8am tournament/team style.


The way we play:
-2 plays per TV (average size is 27" TV's) - (I have 2)
-Teams are divided equally
-Bring your Xbox/Controller/Halo games as you need the discs to play - (I have 1)
-Bring your controller's (I have 3)

Drinks and Food will be descided once we start playing typically Beer/Pop/Pizza/or fast food.

We should have enough Xbox's for 24 people to play (4 per Xbox/TV) if you already have a modded Xbox please let me know so we can get Halo 2 onto your hard drive.

What I think we really need is TV's. - I wanna say we have 4x27" TV's so far.

I have 2 other TV's that can be used but are only large enough for 1 person to play on. (13", and my new 7" LCD Screen that's going in my car)

2 per TV? Why not 4? I've done ton of halo LANs on 4. Anyhoo, I may be kinda interested, khad might be too.

Hell, saturday even works good for me for once!

IT'S A "HALO 2" TOURNAMENT..... HALO 2....HALO 2.......


The only down fall to this is we might just have to go to 4 people per TV. Because in order to play it you need a modded X-box.. And currently we only have 4 modded Xbox's......

We already have I think 5 people (TypeSlude, his brother and his brothers friends) - those guys are all ringers at Halo... But most of you that have been to the house already for my halo tournaments have probably already met them.


Anyrated Gaming Starts in the Afternoon on Saturday and will more then likely go all night and into Sunday Morning like it typically does.


The best part about Halo2 is you can now use as many xbox's as you want in multiplayer, (original Halo only allowed 4)

Every Board is New Except 1 (and even that one has changed)

New Features to the game:
-Vehicles Blow up (regenerate in time)
-Some weapons you can use 2 at a time
-Rocket Launchers have homing capabilities
-You no longer get hurt when jumping from high places
-Some Bases are now equiped with Gun Turrets
-2 types of Wort Hogs - one is typical with the gattling gun, the other has a Cannon on the back.

New Weapons Include:
M16style Sniper Gun
Homing Rocket Launcher
Laser Sword (This is a 1 hit kill weapon but in order to use it you have to get close enough, can't wait to try this in a close combat zone)
You can now use Alien Flying machines in combat

Other new features you can set up your character to look like the Alien Race vs the typical Human looks.

And that's as far as I found so far after only playing for 1hr last night.

We are short 2 TV's so far. (preferably 27" or bigger)

Kiel - Come and play - bring the SRT-4 if you bought it! I think there'll be 1 or 2 more coming (tony..aka Sordz) has a Silver one, and then Rich with the yellow SRT-4 might be coming as well (not sure if his car is running though, I heard there was a problem with the head or something?)

I'll be there, but not until I get back from RF. I can bring my 27" Trinitron again if need be.

Is Kabob or Kaboob gonna be there again? That kid was a riot last time I was over there. :lol:

Yes hes coming along with Ryan and his Brother's like last time. And he's already talking smack....

I think this is going to be an awesome time. in the new halo came you can hook up as many Xbox's as you want. Were as with Halo 1 you were limited to only 4.


As it looks right now if everyone comes over at the same time we'd be at like 12 vs 12... but since most people are coming at different times who know's what it'll end up being.

We have over 28 people saying they'll stop in at some point or will possibly show up?

I know for sure there'll be 8-10 that'll be there the whole day playing (ryan, his brothers/Friends, and myself)

I think I have 2 people to come with me from 10 till whenever it ends. You guys have a switch to link them all?

Ryan has a Hub system. I think it can handle 6 Xbox's.

He should also have enough cable for everyone also.

I'm pretty sure we're going to do this down stairs. All in 1 room. Reason being Some of the Xrated Guys want to Drink and I don't want them spilling on the white Carpet. And I don't think we have enough Cable to run from downstairs to upstairs?


But I'm going to figure out the Seating arrangements tonight. Khad what are your friends Names so I can add them to the list.

Heh, I have a few 100ft cables laying around I think, anyway, They are Tim and Justin, niether are on the board, Justin can bring 2 controllers so I will have 4 contollers on my setup with those.

Cool bring what you have - also what time are you coming over today to drop that stuff off?

I'm leaving work so if you need to get a hold of me you'll have to call as I won't have access to the net till Monday.
