So I went to a local junkyard this morning and they have a N/A 2.0 Laser in there. I've seen so many different bits of information about about the N/A stuff. Can the N/A block & head be used in a turbo application? What about the tranny?
Thanks! |
Engine yes if built for it. Tranny, I wouldn't.

Thanks Mike! Are the N/A rods the same as the turbo rods? Is there any actual difference between the N/A head & block versus the turbo version? Possibly oil squirters?
|
Yep, no squirters and different pistons. The squirters being gone can be a good thing in some apps anyway.
|
and just to add the non turbo heads have different cams
|
The 1g head has no turbo oil boss for the feed.

As for the lower half of the engine the rods, crank, and block are the same. The pistons, clutch, flywheel, trans are different and the engine lacks oil squirters but they could be installed easily enough by a machine shop. |
