Did the 2gs come with manual roofs or just power?

Khadgar 10-07-2004 01:44 AM

I haven't seen a single non power one.

1QUICK4 10-07-2004 02:48 AM

They are all power

tpunx99GSX 10-07-2004 11:43 AM

yeah 2gs are ALL POWA BABY, only the 1gs are the ones with no power. he heheh

Power = weight... and its probably faster to just flip up the 1G ones versus wait for the motor to bring it up.

slowbubblecar 10-07-2004 05:42 PM

I would rather just upgrade things for even more power so you don't need to worry about the weight

actually on the power ones all you have to do is push the open button twice and it automatically opens the full way. the only reason you would need to do it really fast is if you let a really bad fart, but i personally like to let the passenger get a nice whif before i release it to public. LOL

LOL!! That was hilarious haha.

ghettostyle- You cant just keep making more and more horsepower... things will give up like the tranny and everything connected to it. Id rather have a light car with less power than a heavy ass car with alot of power... which do you think will be more reliable.

Sorry this is way off topic.

No , I making Carbon Fiber sunroof inserts, and I'm just wondering how many different molds I have to make.

tpunx99GSX 10-07-2004 07:48 PM

how hard is carbon fiber to work with?

LightningGSX 10-07-2004 08:05 PM

Its not very hard if you just want the CF look. But if you want a light, strong and good fitting part that won't delaminate then it gets pretty difficult. There are lots of things you have to account for, like resin shrinkage, kinds of resin(most won't cure in the presence of oxygen), weave direction, $$$, ambient temps, mechanical properties, etc. And if you do have problems it gets expensive with a quickness. If your making something and you have some questions give me a PM and I'll try to help.Or if others are interested in playing with CF, I can probably do a basic write up pr something too.

I guess I would still rather have the one with loads of power and some weight. Ones that are gutted would be harder to sell anyhow unless you would sell it as an all out race car. I know I am not going to gut the hell out of my car.
