Alright guys, I am running a 1990 Talon AWD Tsi, stock as can be. This is the first manual turbo car that I have ever had and obviously I like to let her buck from time to time on main street when I pull up to some tool in a Probe GT. What should I be shifting on. I mean, I am sure it can be different with the car and what not but I have heard at redline, and I have also heard like 5 grand when the turbo has peaked spooling up. I really don't know enough about turbo's and the car but if anyone could help me out that would be awesome. I don't even know if someone can answer this but any info would be great. Thanks alot guys...and girls!!

You can shift whenever you want and at whatever RPM the car can handle for the speed it going versus gear your in.

Revlimiter is I think around 7500 rpm?

All stock it's kinda pointless to take it past 6500RPM.

Captain Obvious Says:

5,000rpm is all that is needed to beat a Probe GT.

But shift it at 6-6.5 anyway.

You can rev to 7500 but I would shift at 6.5-7K.
