My Uncle Jim, Jim Knudsen, was in a bad accident on his bike last night. He's got major bleeding in the head, and is pretty banged up. They airlifted him from Wabasha to Rochester, and is in critical but stable condition. He is in emergency surgery right now. He is my uncle on my mother's side, and my mother is going to keep me posted. She said there was no reason for me to drive down, so I guess that's a good sign.

At any rate, if you pray, to whatever or whoever, I would ask that you do for my uncle Jim and my family, and his family and friends. He's a great guy, and hasn't had an easy life, and this isn't any better. He is in Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

best of luck. i went to highschool with a kid whose dad died on a motorcycle. i couldn't possibly imagine what that's like.

My prayers are with your uncle.

He is still in critical but stable condition. Nothing much has changed, although he does respond to pain stimuli now. The next 72 hours are critical. Doctors cannot give an estimation on chances of survival due to the massive head trauma. We will see.
