So who was at Transfer with the rest of us 100+ cars waiting to be let off?
So there I was standing by the last warehouse on Transfer. There were tons of people there and races were going on about every 1 min or so. Then all of a sudden this car alarm comes on and someone yells "Cops" and someone else yells "Its just an alarm" Then just about 3 mins after that we hear sirens and everyone scatters to their car. I was walking my normal pace and then I hear "Police, Get Down." With no hesitation I sprint to my car and take off with everyone else. Unluckily, the police had already blocked off all of the entrances and exits. Only 5 cars made it out from what I heard. They made us line up in three lines and they had this lady walk by with a laptop checking everyone's license to see if they had been Street Racing. It was a long process and extremely boring. Good thing they only went after the people who raced. So they checked our DL's and Proof Of Ins. and then they started to let us leave one by one. I was lucky to have been at the END of the road and thats where they started to let us out by. Yeah, it sucked alot. It was the first time in about a month that I've seen street racing and that just so happened to be the time when we all get busted. I've been having bad luck since school started and this only made it worst :headache: .

Hell ya dude I was there. But I was parked in a parking spot in the last lot where there were letting people out so I was like one of the last people to leave. It was really boring but its a story i get to tell. Hopefully they dont send us tickets in the mail cuz they only wrote down the drivers name(me). I saw some people that were racing leave and not get anything the others got there cars towed. We were talking to the cops and they said they had undercover cops in the parkinglots. Then I notice this guy in a black firebird/transam just chillin out of his car not getting talked to like we were, so we told the cop and the cop goes dont worry about him. Then the cop went over there talked to him for a second and then he left. Right past all the cops and they didnt say anything to him. Then later I realized that none of the F body cars were there that usually are. HMMMMM Shady? All in All in took around an hour and a half and was kind of a waist of a night.

JDM 09-18-2004 02:25 AM

I think that guy is a State Trooper. I've seen him in a few different spots... directly before we get busted. He might also be Anti-gang task force, the crew in charge of street racing...

I saw that last night. There were an ass load of cop cars and there was even a helicopter flying above. Not sure if it was the news or what. It was all blocked off as we were getting there so we didn't get caught.

MATCHBX 09-18-2004 10:49 AM

Wow, sounds like Red Rock about 3 years ago the night they released the the first Fast and the Furious movie.

But it took us about 3 hours to get out of Red Rock!!!

Now I see why I don't go to the street races anymore. I'll stick to the track, thank you. The gravel tracks, that is.

ACRucrazy 09-18-2004 11:18 AM

Ya, I heard it was pretty crazy!

blageo23 09-18-2004 01:16 PM

There was a helicopter there. We were talking to the cop and she said that it was up there the whole time filming the races. Noone saw it. Thats one way the knew who was racing. I was skurred at first but then it just got really boring and worthless. Then as they had all the cars line up in 3 lines there was a guy with a camera following the cop to a couple car as they asked them questions. So maybe it will be on the news or something.

Personally I think everyone should have been nailed for something or another.

LightningGSX 09-18-2004 01:57 PM

Yep, they should've gave all you stupid fucks tickets.Lets get a bunch of cars together and race, how smart is that?

JDM 09-18-2004 03:25 PM

Congratulations to all that were there!!!

You are (your name, DL #'s and LP's) now all on a Data base open to all Law Enforcement agancies can run checks on. This data base is for the Anti-gang Task Force, or the Strike task force. They record the names of those racing, and in some instances, record the make model and year. They track stolen cars, stolen parts, drug deals, funny money, stolen merchandise, along with a slew of other things.

This task force goes out EVERY weekend, and they are undercover. You will NOT know who they are unless some dumbass street cop gives em up one way or another.

You can give up any hope of staying harrasment free every time you go out to race or spectate. Your name is recorded, your car is recorded, and you WILL be followed if you are on the list. If enough repeat hits show up at a certain spot, such as Transfer or Shep, then they call in the ghetto bird....

So congratulations on your new classification, "Possible gang, street racer". I've seen gang fights, people getting hit by cars, people crash bikes, crash cars, people get robbed, and people go to jail for these kinds of things all while street racing. If you don't stray away from these things for the legal aspect, maybe you can save yourself from witnessing one of these many FUCKED up things that go on there everynight. Uni is cool most of the time, but my street days are over. I just wait for the day this shit happens to someone I know.

Please don't get hurt. If not for your own dumbasses, for mine.

1slowdsm 09-18-2004 03:33 PM

Yeah, that sucks alot. It was the first time I've been there in a month and this is what I get! I dont even like to go there. Screw University for screwing me!...haha :fworld:

PSI2HI 09-18-2004 03:45 PM

You've all been there and done or are still currently doing it so i dont get where you come off calling them dumbass's, unless there those damn silly ricers!!

Nick

MATCHBX 09-18-2004 03:50 PM

Basically because the ones that are calling them dumbasses realized the consequences and quit doing that. If the people that were down there were smart enough, they would figure that out as well. That is why we have organizations that organize legal, sanctioned and insured events for people to get their speed fix.

PSI2HI 09-18-2004 03:58 PM

So you're calling me a dumbass?

Your calling some of the employees of shops in the cities dumbass's as well?

Makes no sence. If you choose not to do it thats your choice. Those who choose to do it is there choice as well.

LightningGSX 09-18-2004 04:02 PM

I'm calling everyone who does stupid shit like that a dumbass.

PSI2HI 09-18-2004 04:05 PM

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

There is many things lots of people do on a daily basis that endangers everyone else as well, so it all falls into the same perspective.

LightningGSX 09-18-2004 04:09 PM

It gives those of us with vehicles that fit the description of the usual racer and don't race, a bad rap in the eyes of the law and public. So not only are you morons endangering innocent people, you're bringing trouble to people like me.

So I suppose we can't call a mass murderer a dumbass because he CHOOSES to do what he does, even though it is wrong AND illegal and we wouldn't choose to do it?

If you truly want to race, find a sanctioning body and organize some races. That way there is medical staff on site, it is legal, there is insurance for the event and everyone can enjoy themselves rather than looking over their sholders hoping they don't get busted.

And before you think that I am being Mr. High and Mighty, I have the ticket on my record that stopped me street racing. Sure, i still went down and checked them out to see what was going on. But since things have gotten to be alot tighter as far as the law enforcement goes, I don't want to be anywhere near there anymore. I'll stick to legal racing.

PSI2HI 09-18-2004 04:30 PM

Pointless discussion.

How many people here smoke?

How many people here speed?

How many people here drive drunk?

How many people here do drugs?

I bet more than i can count on my 2 hands.

Point proven. Im out.

A//// Guy 09-18-2004 04:43 PM

Yea the new people will alwas learn the hard way...

Weve all been there.. well except me, I havent ever beent to a hang out style street race like that one the cops busted.

Most of the people coming out of that bust will prolly think about not doing it anymore and might turn into LightningGSX and call everyone dumbasses...but until they learn that they will still go.

Lightining- You have never street raced or met at that type of meet? If you havent cool, but if you have then you were a former dumbass right? No offense, just thinking this all through.

IMO street racing is stupid, especially when you do it like they did.
