Well, I found a guy that offered to trade me his 2002 Honda CBR 600 F4i with an exhaust, different sprocket, 2 jackets and a helmet for my 1990 Nissan 240SX with an SR20DET, all my spare parts, and $800 cash. I could definitely work with him on the cash part though.

I'd really like to just sell my car, but if no one steps up, I might have to do something like this.

Kracka 09-09-2004 09:00 PM

Seems like a good deal on your end unless you need the money badly right away. It all comes down to: do you want a bike?

ABV 09-09-2004 09:04 PM

It's not so much that I Need the cash, but I was going to use it to pay off some bills. Even if I did do this trade, I could probably sell the bike next year, or maybe even this fall yet. I had planned on buying another bike someday anyway, just not this soon. :D

Jana 09-09-2004 09:05 PM

I'd say no. Hold off for the right buyer, I wouldn't do a trade.

If your getting the better end of the deal and the Bike checks out to be prefect go for it. You could always sell it but you Bikes are not holding good value these days because they are hard to sell. So bring his price down or tell him to up the cash exchange.

95tsi 09-09-2004 11:42 PM

How much does he want for the bike?

JustROLLIN 09-10-2004 01:44 AM

How much are you asking for your car?

JDM 09-10-2004 02:59 AM

Do it and sell the bike. And make it an even K.

AJ 09-10-2004 11:51 AM

Nah, would suck to be sitting on a bike all winter long. I'd say keep the car till it sells and buy that other ugly thing you've been talking about. lol

Kougar 09-10-2004 12:56 PM

I say bike. In spring, the quest is going bye-bye for a motorcycle.

john 09-10-2004 02:00 PM

A swapped 240 would also be hard to sell. Do you have another car so you wouldn't have to sit on a bike over the winter? That would be an easy decider for me.

Super Bleeder!! 09-10-2004 03:20 PM

hold out until someone offers you their RC-51, which is gonna be my next toy :)

ABV 09-10-2004 06:37 PM

Well, looks like the car could be sold tomorrow. I don't really need a bike right now anyway.

ABV 09-12-2004 11:27 AM

The car has been sold. A bike would have been fun, but I think this is for the best.

john 09-12-2004 12:24 PM

I swear I saw the car last night at Uni. It looked like it had the rally tires still in the back. The exhaust looked the same as yours also. How much did you get for it?

That was probably him. After they picked it up, they said they were going to stop by Uni before they headed back to Duluth. It was probably cruising with a Silver GC8 Impreza with SSR rims. That's what they drove down here with.

I cleaned up my garage quite a bit too. He took alot of my extra parts, and an extra set of tires along with some misc stuff. :D

As far as money, I got what I was looking to get for it, so it's all good.

john 09-13-2004 12:20 AM

Cool. Yeah, he was with the subaru guy. The dude in the Impreza was looking to race anyone. The other guy was babying your car.

Excellent! :D
