i submit that they do not.

I don't even have mine in my car anymore.

A//// Guy 11-13-2003 06:55 PM

Never have.. a stick works dandy because Im not paying 40 bucks for those shitty things.

BuildADSM 11-13-2003 06:59 PM

try a junk yard and that might help a little bit to at least help hold it up better even if you do need to use a stick.

FORSFED 11-13-2003 07:12 PM

That's what the vice grips in my trunk are for....I kept knocking over the stick I used before and closing the hatch on myself :headache:

MATCHBX 11-13-2003 07:53 PM

Mine work because I spent the $40 to fix them. All I have to do is start to lift the hatch and it goes up by itself.

I used the stick too until I fixed them. I used to use vise grips on my CRX until i almost broke my arm when the visegrips popped off and the hatch fell.

Another trick is to extend the arms all the way and then put a SLIGHT bend in it. Just pull the center of the arm towards you to put a small bend in it. Then when you want to close it just push the arm forward in the center while lowering the hatch.

white Talon: yes

beater Talon: who cares?

oops, I voted no and mine do work. They didn't until I got a set off a jucker at hennipen tech last year. I got both (aftermarket shocks) for $1. Definitly the best dollar I have spent on my car.

MustGoFaster 11-13-2003 10:30 PM

My car doesn't have those persay, buy the torsion style springs it does have work!

Halon 11-14-2003 12:26 AM

slowbubblecar 11-14-2003 08:47 AM

your integra has nothing to do with what we are talking about. ive owned two dsms and niether has had working lift arms in the trunk.

niterydr 11-14-2003 12:22 PM

my stealth's work, both of my dsm's i've owned haven't worked.

Matt D. 11-14-2003 01:09 PM

I don't even know, but by Swanny's response I'm guessing not. :P

AJ 11-14-2003 01:59 PM

LOL. My old 1G they worked awesome!

john 11-15-2003 11:56 PM

Yeah, the pair I got at Hennipen tech for $1 were some aftermarket ones. I always check at the junkyards for good ones but they are either gone or there is no glass in the hatch where as they aren't supporting any weight.
