So, after a long long search, I'm possibly buying a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI, for relatively cheap. Only this is that the guy blew the tranny, but it rolls.

I know that DSMs (and most other AWD cars) are known for a lot of driveline wear and tear, so does anybody in the Minneapolis, MN area know of anywhere or anybody I can talk to for a new transmission, and what I can do to get just a little more strength out of it? Any names/phonenumbers would be great. Thanks,

Colin

Look up transmissions in the yellow pages or bite the bullet and call Shep or TRE.

I have an extra laying around that needs a 2nd gear synchro. I could have it rebuilt and sell it to you. Make an offer. It would probly cost ~$750 for the tranny and Xfercase after rebuild. I would need to see what the parts, etc cost.

Shindley does my trannys. Quick, like with in a week or two of calling and I couldn't tell the difference between Shindleys and TRE's at more than 3x the cost.
