ACT 2600 Fidanza flywheel New used tranny just go installed like 2 weeks ago |
Master or slave cylinder leaking or someplace the pressure is leaking out.
the pedel now just contracts and stays down like a chair leg...if you pull it up...it comes up if u push it down it stays down weird..i dont know i gonna bleed the slave and adjust the pedel and see what happens
It almost has to be a bad slave cylinder. I wouldnt bother adjusting the pedal, since that isn't the problem.
Look for a leak. I am guessing that is the problem. Check under the dash and look for it along the firewall. You can also remove the clutch rod and see if it is leaking under the boot at the slave. Check your fluid if it sticks to the floor.

I would say its the master not holding pressure.

Same thing happened with my old 2G, ended up being the master cylinder.

I bleed the clutch couple times and now its fine but when i was down there i saw some sort of oil leaking pass the the slave cylinder near the rear differential (guessing here) i think..dont know what it was..but it was leaking not a lot just maybe a stream of fluid then it stopped..if its a dumb question take mercy on me
you have a 7 bolt right....? maybe its crankwalked. :stick:  or yeah just a bad master...
yea its a 7 bolt....crank walk dont use that word ; ; is the master cylinder pass the slave cylinder towards the rear of the car?
Master cylinder is on the firewall where the clutch pedals connects to it. Slave cylinder is on the transmission and pushes the clutch fork.

Easy way to check for a hydro leak in the system is to pump the clutch pedal a few good times and hold it to the floor and have someone watch the TOF and watch for any movement back to its normal position to where it would be if there were no pressure applied to the clutch, also dont overlook fluid level.
If all eles does not prevail put a pry bar on the UDP and watch for Excessive endplay. Best of luck |
