2g fwd flywheel, i am going to get it resurfaced before i put the trany back in, becuase i noticed when the car in neutral the tires still move a little bit while the car is in the air ..
so what should i have the flywheel steped to? when i took it to red rooster they didn' even ask me what car its for... so how will they know what to step it to? i checked with a caliper not the greatest measuring tool but it works.. and it measured anywhere from .559 to .620 on the four oposite sides.. preasure plate act2600 and standard street disk now i know i know great precision tool it is not.. whats the standard? -E |
Doesnt it depend onwhat clutch you are using? I know you are supposed to have it machine to soemthing different than stock spec if you are using ACT...

That's correct sir.

I talked with a napa machineshop guy and he said they just take off the same from the clutch mounting pads and the friction surface. But a .610 step will provide a little more clamping force then the stock step.

Make sure you verify the step height before you install it.Also, NAPA is the wrong place to get information.
