It blocks popups and is pretty much resistant to adware. Some sites I simply have to use IE for, but found that the Yahoo toolbar is good at blocking popups and most of that unwanted crap, but I still run Ad-Aware a couple times a week. |

Yep, made the official switch to Firefox a couple months ago.
The Google Toolbar for IE is also very good at blocking pop-ups plus it has a lot of other usefull features. |
I still like opera so far the best.

Allan keep me out of the fantasies in your head.
Opera doesn't handle Java very well, but it is a quick browser. In Linux, the Java capabilities are at least easy enough to modify. You winblows homos are typically SOL ;) But get used to it while you don't have source to modify. |
Plain and simple IE blows because its from microsoft and Firefox is completly better in every way I have seen.. To me the best feature is that is saves everything and cuts down on your loading time..

I was just reading an Sep 04 article in Wired magazine, Microsofts' security program manager himself uses Firefox. And he also states IE won't be secure for possibly 8 more years.
