I have looked at several different sources showing that I can remove ALL the solenoids on the firewall. But, I have also seen a couple showing that I need to keep the solenoid on the left. (Facing the engine) The solenoid that has some sort of electrical wire running along the firewall. I havent traced it so I dont know where it goes. Opinions? Experience?

That help?

Taboo's diagram pretty much explains it all.

Appartently I am running the "race only" setup.

If you are talking about removing the FPR solenoid I did that on my car and had no cold-starting problems; you probably only would with a stock pump. It was amazing how clean and empty my engine bay was with all the emissions systems and solenoids removed, I loved it.

So people are keeping the FPS? Would the "race only" setup be ok for a car that is strictly summer driven?

Thats all I needed to know. Thanks Chris. I will run the "race only" setup. Thanks for the help guys!

The FPR solenoid is actually for hot starts... it raises you fuel pressure to prevent gas starvation to the engine. I ran without it for a while and it seemed ok but starting took a little more juice.

The "race only" setup is in my dsms without any problems.

Joe, ask to see under my hood the next time you're at QPR... You'll be amazed at how clean it is.

JustROLLIN 08-14-2004 06:00 PM

Cool, I'll do that. I am going to use the race only setup since most are running it without issues.
