Ok it runs.. Sorta
First off, my boost gauge doesnt work, and the engine makes some pssh noise every once in a while when starting and the boost gauge freaks out with the noise. At all other time the boost gauge is mostly pegged at 30 psi =/ WTF? Ok so I have one vacuum line from the driver site intake mani port going to the drivers side port on the 1g FPR. the boost gauge is tapped to that... How is this wrong? |
Anyone wanna come take a look?
Ok.
Took the boost gauge out, it still reads 2 bar. I'm guessing the gauge is shot since it doesn't drop back to 0. When the car is on, it sometimes drops to 0, anyway it could have come un alligned? |
Is it a mechanical or electrical gauge?
Electrical.
The sending unit could be bad, especially if it's all erratic like that. Make sure you have the power wires hooked up securely.
I thoguht that too but when the power is off the needle usually drops down to the extreme left, anyways it wasnt working then bam it started working again.
Most of those electrical boost gauges have a calibration procedure you have to do before they work correctly.
It worked fine before, and it works now like half the time, it cuts in and out, I guess I'll check the wiring, ya know, it was Allan that wired it, I guess I should of expected problems =P
