I was wondering if anyone knew a site i could go to to get the torque specs for the front 8 screws. I cut the fins on the insert and now it sounds reaaaaalllly odd. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I ought to kick your ass for what you just did and asked.

I was trying to give it less of a whistle and more of a woosh sound. and now its reaaaally quiet exept for a wierd hard to describe sound. I talked to AutoBacs and they told me that it should be only finger tight, which it is. i dont think the bov is malfunctioning, but im not sure.

torque it until it breaks then get a bov that works

If you really want it to woosh and not whistle, stick it up your ass tom :stick:

Just get a bigger turbo and a FMIC. Mine doesn't whistle at all! It makes a cool humming/whoosh sound. It is hard to believe it is the same bov that is on your car.

I would torque the bolts to 5 ft/lbs or so. Just snug them up with a 1/4" ratchet. Don't tighten them, just snug.

Jet I think he is talking about the screw in the back of the BOV that adjusts the spring tension. I think we adjusted yours all the way in to make the spring as tight as it will go. So the second valve won't be used until around 20lbs of boost.

CRAIG

Hence the reason why his sounds like a chicken getting ass raped all the time.
