Enes, just so you know your "best friend" can easily get in serious trouble for distributing copies of software before its scheduled release date. The Best Buy tag on the box is a dead give away, and they too can be heavily fined if caught releasing any sort of entertainment media before they're supposed to.

Not that I care, but just giving you and your friend fair warning... It's not something I'd want to risk doing.

It was put on the store shelf for sale, a lot of copies got sold before they pulled it off the shelf after they realised what they did... so really.. it was bby's mistake ..

So Doom 3 isn't out yet? I was walking through Best Buy and saw it for sale there yesterday but didn't think anything of it. I guess I should have bought it... oh well.

Well it's "done" it's just they want it to be put on store shelves on the same day, and it oviously takes longer to get to some places.

Best Buy is famous for selling stuff waaay before the release date. I guess that's what happens when 30 16-18 year old computer geeks get together in one place at the same time. I know at Circuit City 95% of the time if something is on the shelves that shouldn't be yet, it will trigger an alarm in our system and prevent pre-sale of the item(not that we at CC are better than BB, just a little more cautious).

Either way, nice score. A bit steep at 55 bux, but I guess that's the price you pay if you want some nice wholesome family entertainment.

CompUSA is supposedly releasing it at $44.99 on the day.

It was probably just the pre-sale display that they usually use... Pay for the game, or just a part of the price, and you get a rain check.

YA uhh, Its already been gotten here, illegally downloading things is only illegal when your caught!

point we all are trying to make is...

if you like the game.. and play it.. go and buy it, otherwise there won't be any new games down the road...
