I have 2 say Tach cuz i dont have a boost gauge cuz my car is slow... :uh:

Boost and tach would be the 2 most important in my mind...luckily the ECU limits the revs which leaves the boost.

cudvig 11-09-2003 09:44 PM

EGT owns AFR

MATCHBX 11-09-2003 09:45 PM

I'd have to say tach. Besides the sound of the engine, it tells you when to shift.

Who needs a speedometer???? I don't care how fast I'm going. I already know I'm above the speed of slow so who cares what the number is.

AJ 11-09-2003 09:52 PM

Tach. Don't wanna blow shit up too quick.

JET 11-09-2003 10:10 PM

Definately boost. I can hear roughly what RPM I am at. AFR is right up there too (wideband).

At-Least-It's-An-Evo 11-09-2003 10:12 PM

You really just need a boost gauge to tell you if you're being stupid of safe. The tach is a given, but even w/o that, yoiu can go off an Afc like device which is digital and more accurate.

AJ 11-09-2003 10:31 PM

you don't need a boost gauge with a T25 though. Just open it all the way and let her buck at 15psi firm. LOL

I think with my back ground Im gonna stick to the tach.

john 11-09-2003 10:48 PM

Boost gauge is the most important.
Who needs a tach? Just shift when you hit the revlimiter and you are fine  .

Just used the clock to count the minutes it takes to get to redline, then shift?

Shane@DBPerformance 11-10-2003 03:34 PM

And to measure my 1/4 mile times.

Boost for starters
then a fuel pressure gauge when you get serious.

the only 2 aftermarket gauges you need (IMO).

i like the fuel gauge on my vw. haven't pumped gas in almost a week and a half and still have 3/8 of a tank left.
