Just though I'd put this up for anyone who cares. It's pretty old, but I found it in some old threads on other forums while looking up info on intake manifolds. I'm sure some of you have seen this already but thought I'd quick throw it up on here. I noticed how well the 1g manifold did in the mid range. I was curious on anyones thoughts on how much better it would do if it were to be extrude honed. If maybe it'd perform better up top, or help quicker spool times. Anyway here's the link to some test results.

also does anyone know somewhere that does extrude honing? I looked it up on road race's site and they want 375 plus a core. Anyone know of a cheaper place? Maybe a local place?

extrude honing a 1g intake is good for about another 2-3 cfm, so its pretty worthless

money could be MUCH better spent elsewhere

If you look in basic or advanced tech you'll find a thread with comments from others about the test.

It was a good idea for the test, and they executed it as best they could (shit load of work, too little of time), but the results seem to be a little inconclusive or not what many shops have experienced.
