I am a Reserve Officer for the Saint Anthony Police Department.
I am not a licesned peace officer. I am enpowered leagues beyond a normal citizen, but do this voluntarily to save the city budget. I am trained in driving, weapons; both lethal and less lethal, self defense, first responder, laws and ordinances, community policing, policy and procedure, criminal justice, as well as other things. The Reserve program is to serve the community in which we Police, as well as train myself when school and Post board and skills training are completed. At which time all you cop hating bastards can all kiss my ass ;) just kidding. -JDM |
Congrats on the new job. I think that job would be sweet! What kinda car ya wanteing to get?? Again Congrats!

after taxes, I project $550/week That's roughly $2000/month minus 600 for rent freeing up almost 800 after the 3g is history school... I'll probably have around $700/month to spend on car payment/insurance Any suggestions?? |
Sounds like a good job. I say buy a c-5 vett, slicks, nawwwzzz and run some really fast times.

If you want my advice, I would buy a nice reliable daily driver, that you wont be tempted to modify at all. Then once you get that, go out and buy a project car like a Supra or RX-7 or something. Something that you can pay cash for, or pay off really quick. If you plan on making some big power, or taking your car to the track, especially a road course, you will thank yourself later. There's nothing worse than making car payments (especially big ones) on a car with a blown motor sitting in the garage. And the last thing you want to do, is put the shiny side down on a road course, and have to make payments on a car that's totalled.
That's just my take on things. Plus with a nice DD, you won't feel so bad about taking out the ac, and other useless stuff on your race car. :D |
Kiel just get something thats practical for now. You dont have a garge or anything to mod it so just get something like an acura tl type s or something, sporty yet reliable. :woowoo:
