I'm Eric.I've been posting on dsmtuners.com for a few years and never knew there were so many other DSM people in the area.I have a 98 GSX, 90 Eclipse FWD Turbo, and a 90 Talon AWD Turbo.I have minor mods on the 98(thermal exhaust, k&n, 14b etc.).The 1g's have been in storage for like 7 years, but I'll mod em up eventually.I've been working with auto electronics for over a decade(auto repair, alarms, stereo systems) and I've been doing custom painting and body work for about 6 years.I am willing to help anyone in those area's.

Pics of my soon to be boring ass black 98.Don't make fun of my rims, they looked better in the pictures before I bought them.

Welcome  Love the lightening paint job!!!!! Hook me up! :D

Where in MN are you located? You'll have to join us at one of our next gatherings. We meet every Wednesday @ Shooters in Burnsville, and then the occasional weekend get together.

LightningGSX 11-06-2003 09:51 PM

No problems yet with the thermal, the tip kinda bothers me though.

I live in the St Paul Park/Cottage Grove area.

Welcome! Very nice work. I know a few people on here may look your way for some good body/paint work. I know by the looks of it I would when I begin the Rally 2G project this spring!

To Allan and Jana: "OMG." I think you guys over-welcome all the new members.

Nice paint jobs, do you have your own shop or how do you do your work?

Welcome to the site.

LightningGSX 11-06-2003 10:57 PM

I used to have a shop(more like a garage setup like a paint booth).Lately I've been getting an auto electronics engineering business going, so I haven't painted in a while.I still have access to a few paint booths though.

No, I hardly drive it at all. When I do I'm mostly in St Paul or Maplewood.Did you go to park? I know a lot of people from the grove that are your age.

BuildADSM 11-07-2003 01:50 PM

damn you did both of thoses paint jobs yourself. They are both crazy! (in the good way) all I have to say is that takes some good talant!
You must have worked alot with a air brush to be able to do something like that. Thoses are some nice paint jobs.

welcome to the site!

LightningGSX 11-08-2003 04:26 PM

I can airbrush shadows, highlights and lightning but I couldn't do a mural to save my life.

MATCHBX 11-08-2003 04:54 PM

Cool another Eric (well not spelled right but we'll let that slide just this once) on the board!!!! Welcome.

From an artistic stand point, those paint jobs are awesome. I'm not one for them on my car personally (at least my daily driver) but I like to see what other people come up with for custom paint rather than going and having a graphics shop make up vinyl for them. It makes so much more of an impact on people when they see that it's a custom paint job rather than stickers.

I'll probably do some custom paint job (not that extravagent) to my CRX when I get it set up for rally.
