has anyone run with a GM MAFt during the winter, on a car that parks outside? a former electrical engineer friend of mine was looking at the chips used in it and they are only rated for 0 to 70 degrees celcius operation. 0-70 chips are the standard, and are also used in the electronic boost sender of the greddy boost gauge. in the middle of winter when my 2G was very cold, this would cause my boost reading to be completely innaccurate, as the signal from the frozen chips was all screwed up.

just curious if anyone has run a maft through the winter yet and what your experiences were. from mine with the greddy sender, i'd shy far away from a maft.

I used it this past winter... no problems at all. Only think I noticed is if you take the screen out then your idle will go down when its really hot out and when its cold out it goes up. Like maybe 100-200 rpm fluctuation. 90 degree outside- 700-750rpm. 50 degree outside- 800-850 rpm.
