ok so I was drunk and started shit with the MN sport compact this shouldn't be that hard. In fact we should teach them a thing or too. All in good fun right .....

SuperSleeper 06-26-2004 04:36 AM

Uh, they have like 750 members... and rightfully so. This is mostly DSMs. :goodluck:

carltalon 06-26-2004 04:41 AM

I'm going to go to there meet tomarrow to help slowWhite talk more people into mayhame! I"m in It for the fun!!!

AJ 06-26-2004 11:17 AM

LOL, looks like it's already deleted. I'm sure with Carl being a bit toasted it was pretty funny. But, for a day or 2 we did have more posts and we would have more members if I didn't delete members that don't post within 30 days after joining. At any given time 90% of our members here have been active at some point. Obviously more some than others.

finch63tsi 06-26-2004 01:00 PM

you do delete in 30 days that sucks!!! to bad we have more peps :dsmrule:

AJ 06-26-2004 01:54 PM

Why does that suck? Tell me why someone should have an account here if they never use it?

Matt D. 06-26-2004 02:05 PM

What is the point of even caring if MNSC is better or worse than this place? This site caters to a handful of cars, offers very in-depth technical advice for those cars and a point of contact for a few shops that actually know what they're doing.

MNSC is by far Minnesota's largest and most diverse auto club. When the weather is good their meets bring in at least 100 cars. The first meet of the year it was pouring rain and cold as hell, but there were still about 30-50 cars and about that many people there. It is the only place where any make, model and ethnicity can get together without any bullshit.

finch63tsi 06-26-2004 02:09 PM

no that sucks for them that they are off the coolest site on the web!!!!
then they have to do it all over agian!

Please refrain from posting here anymore. Your lack of literacy and worthy posting content hurts my brain.

Carl, you still have 2 threads going:

Yes

Shane@DBPerformance 06-27-2004 03:31 PM

30 days is basically forever on the internet.

I don't know if this is the best forum in MN or not. I highly doubt it, there is probably some great MN quilting bee forum or something, but it is my favorite local forum. I personally thought it was possibly a waste of time and unneeded and wouldn't go anywhere back when Allan first started the DSMstyle stuff. But he kept it going and added the forums and it has surpassed the MN-DSM list as the place for the locals to hang out and talk. It is active and has to be one of the best and closest knit DSM forums on the net. We might not have a shit load of tech or reviews or stupid questions, but most of the people on here don't need to ask the same question every other day and we know how to search other places instead of being redundant on here. Thanks for keeping it going and giving me something interesting to read everyday besides NABR.

His account was deleted sometime today. MNSC has quite a few members in Duluth, where that tool resides, and a couple are also a part of the admin team of the forums and club. They're all level headed people when it comes to cars, and they did away with his bullshit. Kudos to them.

I was at the meet on Saturday with Brian & Jenny. I was quite impressed with the club and their 'lil get together.

AJ 06-27-2004 08:13 PM

Thanks for the words Shane. With help, I think we have all done well with the site. Now we need to just plan that dynofest and show the other forums how we lay down a meet. Even though MNSC has got some dedicated people and is by far the largest for gatherings. Got to give them props for that. We need to show what some 4 bangers are making this year for power!

Yeah. He got booted from the forum, but just made another screenname and came right back at it. Kid doesn't know when to quit.

Back on topic, I would have to guess on a given day this forum has more active members than MNSC does. I frequent them both, but I don't like/know as many people over at MNSC.
