Anyone with it, willing to give a guy a ride in there car to see what its like having it....

I had a welded center on my 1g. It forces 50/50 split all the time. This should, in theory, make your drivetrain stronger, but driveability def suffers. I could feel it bind up when making sharp turns in the parking lot.

It sucks on the street, I also believe it directly contributed to splitting my transfer case in half at the Shootout one year. Unless you're doing a drag only car, it's a waste of time, you're better off with a 4-spider diff.

I didn't mind it but made parking a bitch. Also increased tire, and bushing/tie rod wear in suspension components however, rain driving was a little sketchy, and snow was all out fun. That said, unless your power levels/driving style and environment call for it, not sure it's for you.

I have a welded center diff in My 2G auto. The only time I notice it is backing out of my driveway or pulling into a parking spot. I also like to be able to kick the back end out around corners. I don't drive my car in the rain or snow so I can't really comment on that. It is going to be harder on drive train parts. There really isn't a affordable 4 spider option for autos so welded is the way to go.

I personally think it breaks alot of stuff. I've had both, the only transmissions I've ever had trouble with were welded center diff ones... sheared the hollow shaft that drives the front diff, sheared all the teeth off the center diff cause the heat from welding softened the temper on the gear. Then I went to a factory 2 spider center and did not have another issue on a 50 trim car.
If you watch the video's of the welded diff guys in slow mo, they have this driveline slamming that occurs when each axle slips, then takes up all the slack then it makes the other axle slip, that hop cannot be good for anything.

I have a welded center diff in my auto. The only time I notice it is when I am turning sharp both reverse and forward.

Thinking ill hold off on welding this one. Ill save it for another auto. If anyone has a spare auto trans they are selling. Ill buy it!
