Blake's 98 awd talon spyder
 

Hey guys, just picked up mark's spyder last week and plan to build a fun summer dd. 48k on the body, rust free. Bought it as a rolling shell with tranny, t case, and drive train.

Car needs:
-engine
-turbo setup
-wheels
-fuel components
-wrap or paint
-link
-fmic
-and other misc. things

The plan is to pick up a 2.3/2g head and run a fp black on e85

Right now I am stripping the bay and getting it ready to paint for when it gets a little a warmer. Hoping to buy pretty much everything I need in that time so after I paint I can start to put everything in.

First thing I did was take out the radiator, power steering, and headlights

Then I started unbolted everything from the firewall:

Not done but moving along! I need to buy a jack and stands so I can take the wheels off and give them back to my buddy. Will be doing that in the next few days

My buddy chase has wrapped a few cars now including his new s4 and his dad's new srt8 jeep and they both look awesome with minimal flaws. He said we can do it and should look good. I would like to go that route to save time and money prepping/painting. I want to do the exact color this guy did:

I know the talon body will be more difficult but I would really like to give it a shot!

Lookin awesome! I like the idea of the wrap. Still on the 2.3/black train? I do miss that setup.

Yeah I would like to save money from going t3 and rock a fp race mani and black. After having a 2.3 I will never build a 2.0 for a street car again..

Thanks guys, needs a lot of parts and work but it will be fun when it's finished. Turbotalon1g, yeah it's interesting, it's nice for working in the bay that's for sure. It was cut and modified to fit this hot rod aluminum radiator http://s350.photobucket.com/componen...sckxkycrw.jpeg
