Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
So im not sure how many star wars buffs we have here but i want to pose a theory we are talking about at work here.
If you havent watched the trailers you should do so here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGbxmsDFVnE Now after you watch it and get all enamored by the cool special effects and stuff. Put this theory in your head: Luke Skywalker joins the dark side. Now watch it again. I believe Luke may end up becoming the guy in the black mask. Think about this: IMDB has Mark Hamill as Luke. but if you look at the movie poster Luke is a main character and a big one (on the poster he has second billing after harrison ford), however he is missing from poster itself (everyone is there except for hamill) which leads me to believe that he is the black mask (new vader). BOOM.... MIND... BLOWN http://www.imdb.com/media/rm22836625...?ref_=tt_ov_i# |

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
Interesting theory, but I don't think that would happen. It would pay a huge disservice to the original movies. They also have done the light turns to dark side with Annakin/Vader.
What I want to know is why is there a black stormtrooper... did they stop using clones and start training kids at a young age? |

The plot is being kept really under cover, but the signs seem to point to Luke being the guy in the black mask. Its just a matter of how he got there. Quote:
My theory on this is that he was in disguise (much like luke did), or something along those lines. I am thinking they are going to make him the descendant of Samual L Jacksons character when he was the leader of the jedi counsel. and the girl character i believe will end up being the child of Hans and Leah. |
Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
All I know is I'll be seeing it on opening night with my son, just like I did with my dad when the original came out in 1977. Passing the nerd torch as they say.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
For sure, Im sure it will be awesome (much better than 1-3)
They are saying this movie could break a BILLION bucks at the box office. |
Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
Interesting theory but I dont see it happening either.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
Now the real question:
Do i see it in IMAX 3d or Regular Screen. I wish they had it in Imax NON 3d. Would be really cool if they had it in OMNI Theater |
Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
WOW! 1977 seems so long ago but when you do the math, not really. Kudos to passing the torch.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
My wife thinks Luke will end up being Kylo Ren (black mask guy) as well.

2) The stormtrooper... I don't buy the disguise thing. He says that he was trained to do one thing, but has nothing to fight for (except when he learns that he is a friggen Jedi!). Then you see him sweat and take off his helmet, and (my guess) his Tie Fighter crashing down to the surface of the planet. Regardless, I think we can all agree that this movie has us all pumped up beyond anything else. I CAN NOT WAIT!! |
Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
I just need to add... Mark Hamill is going slightly bald and has blonde hair. In the trailer, the antagonist has a full head of slightly curly hair.
I'm going out on a limb here, but I believe the Dark Lord who is avenging Vader is no other... than John Snow. |
Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
Man I feel like I should have watched these movies, seems like they'd be pretty good!

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens... theory.
On stormtrooper side of the argument, it's entirely possible that we're seeing recruits, or rather individuals born into required service due to a depletion of the clones from Kamino, which at this time is no longer producing them. Age could be a factor too in the effectiveness of the clone troopers. Just throwing out there a few options for non-clone troopers in current timeline.
